I am thinking about picking up a car in the Atlanta area and transporting it to South Florida. What should I expect to pay for something like this?

My friend had his M3 transported from NY to FL by Horseless Carriage and it costs $1,200 each way.

 

sld7, Call Exotic Auto Transport in Orlando FL,800-766-8797, they will be happy to quote you a price. Another good company is Intercity Lines in Warren .MA 800-221-3936. I have used them both and can say that their services and prices are good. Jax Fl to NC about $600 one way, enclosed trailer. P.S. I have no association with either company.

A good rule of thumb is aprox. $1 per mile of transport.

It's usually a tad more (i.e. my last car I had transported 700 miles and it cost $750) but it's close.

That was enclosed, wrapped in plastic and delivered to my door.

 

I've been very happy with Intercity Lines, used 4 times in the last three years and they were great.

I know a person that has a one car enclosed carrier. He transported a car for me from Virginia to New Jersey. Very fair and a nice guy. He transports exotics one at a time along the east coast.
