I installed a 997 SSK in my 996tt today and found a connector not hooked up to anything. It is 4 female connectors in-line and is under the lower two DINs (climate control in my car) at the front of the center console.

I thought it was kinda strange it says BMW on it...? The car did come w/ a built-in radar detector & XM radio unit, but it doesn't appear to be related to those from what I can see.

Anyone know what this is?

 

It is the telephone plug. I pickup power from this plug for my iPhone connection....

 

thats plugged into my hyperdrive actuator. i had just done a double din install and dont remember seeing that in or around my console?!
