Thumbs up new member--> wanted to say hi (and share some pics)

Hi!

I joined this group on the recommendations of some of your fellow members....Sean(ruf R turbo), DrJim (red devil 996TT/GT2), and Andrew (you all know this guy I am sure!).

I just wanted to set the record straight, and let you all know that these guys can't drive for sh-----t !!......JUST KIDDING GUYS!!!

Actually, Sean doesn't know the difference between the crash and safety zone between cars. I think he believes that cars are supposed to touch bumper-to-bumper.

(so for you sean, I will tell you what I learned when I was 16 in drivers ed: "one-onethousand", "two-onethousand," "three-onethousand". NOT "one--")

anyway, I posted some PICS:

alpinadvl,
Welcome! Beautiful 993TT!!! Which one is current, the yellow or red?
As for Sean and back bumpers, I know what you mean!! LOL
Sean is a top guy. Plain and simple. I have driven with him a few times during our meets.
Now, since the pleasantries are dispensed, let's get down to business. Time for my TOD plug. Yeah, I know, everybody is tired of hearing it. You need to register and attend our little event on Dec. 4-6. It is the top post in this forum. Read it and reserve a room so you can join the spectacular caravan of Porsches driving down to Asheville to experience the Tail of the Dragon.
Sean, now is the time to apply the pressure!!
And, while we're at it, let's get the Long Island Porsche junkies involved. I think they are under the distinct impression that their Porsches are boats. Why else are they anchored to that damn strip of land called Long Island???!!!

What's up Alfie? Nice to see you on this board.

Ken, that ain't no 993TT, it's a true TechArt CT3, as in centoni supercharged 462hp!!!

I hear you took our good friend Young on a pretty high speed run in the past. I freaked him out yesterday driving through the canyons in my turbo

Hey Alf, how's things? Any of the good one's stateside? What's up with the B12? I want to see that thing if it ever gets here. We may have to revisit our cars in front of frozen Cold Spring Harbor photos this year. It's still one of the best I have of my car. Keep in touch.
