Eliminating Rattles from a 996 Cabrio
Hi Guys, I have had my 2004 996TT-C for just over 3 months now and i am starting to ensure that everything is 100%. One of the things that I desperately want to do is to get rid of all the rattles and noises that come from it. I think that this is a very common problem with cabrios having owned a 500sl before but there must be some Porsche-specific tips and tricks to minimising some if not all of the noises from the door pads, door pockets and soft top. i would even be grateful for thoghts on how to identify wher the noise is coming from so that i can try different options.
Thanks in advance for your help
PS...As soon as i work out how to attach pictures here, i will!!!

i dont even have the deflector to blame some of the noise on...its just from the roof and the roof cover and the doors... the suspension on the TT is also quite stiff so it is more revealing

Have the dealer fix it. I drove one as my DD for 5 years and when it started to rattle I just had the dealer fix it. I have some minor rattles in my other P car but it's tires are 7 years old and I think I need new rubber...
