Just got back from a private road in .... Mexico

This is my second race, first was against a powerful RS6 V10 biturbo with every mod possible installed, a 10.7s car @130 mph, I forgot to tape that but pretty much was like, RS6 puts 1-1.5CL in front, stays in front till 150mph then 996 gets in front. RS6 had hybrid turbos, meth and approx 850 hp crank, 996 boosted to 1.28 bar.


So second race... a nice Audi TT-RS, 2.5l 5cyl stock turbo, intake, ICs, ECU and weight reduction, a bit less than 3000 lbs. This car beats a full bolt-on 335i by 4-5 CL and those particular 335i are beating a chipped M3 V8 also by 3-4 CL.
I raced with a passenger in order to make cars more equal, 1.0 bar first and 1.3 bar after. I feel this Audi is faster than flashed X50s, enjoy !

Most interesting part for us is the difference btw 1.0 and 1.3 bar on 76s, I can feel behind the wheel but these videos gave me a much better idea of what 0.3 bar of boost means even not in the maximum efficient values of boost for 76s.

Good race! The RS6 is one heck of a car. I had It 8 months and drove it for 2 months it was in the shop for the other 6 LOL but it hauled, I went 0-60 in 3.4 seconds. You pbox your car yet?

 

yes I did, 60-130 were 6.9-7.0 on pump 1.4 bar, 6.7s on ms109 @1.52 bar
on pump only @1.4bar 94 octane, did one pass 11.19 @129mph 1.84s 60ft full weight

no 0-60 yet ... looking forward to see your build, I have to do my homework for next year

 

What Tune are you running? 11.19 is Fast!! that's great 1.4 bar on 94 though what was your o2 reading?

 

I have Marski's ski850 setup on Alpha76, I run european 100octane (I assume is 94oct US) for 1.36 bar and peaks of 1.4 sometimes, I run 55% EBC on pump, O2 was looking good from 2200-7000K, Mark saw all the logs also

 

so does your car have the ski850 or an Alpha turbo based kit? i thought the ski 850 was a full housing kit with external gates not like alphas.

either way id have him check your logs over it should be faster then 6.7 at 1.5 bar. i ran 5.9-6.1 on 1.55 bar on the Alpha3076 turbos with slow shifts.

I felt the same way, 6.7s is slow for this setup, I changed arround 7000 rpm, not very fast but either not slow for sure.

I got 6.7 3rd-4th and 7.0 4th only, I didnt try 2-3-4 yet, but maybe I'll do.

I try to stay bellow 7200 rpm tops, how did you get those 5.x times ?

I ran a 2012 Jeep SRT-8 from about 20 mph to 100mph, in Mexico, very surprised how well it kept up. I beat him, but damn that thing is impressive. The jeep is going in for a supercharger, I'll let you know how it ends up.

I will post tomorrow a vid vs Audi S4 2.7T 450-500 hp and a Gsx-R 1000 all of us fighting for grip, till that I raced tonight a nice 997tt tip wit ICs, headers, cat less exhaust, ECU. Really nice and strong car, considering also limited mods
