Quick parking brake question
Is it normal that the parking brake on the 996TT needs a good pull to grip? I noticed that the other day when I parked in the driveway. I know I need some new rotors in the back but that shouldn't really make that much of a difference.
Just want to make sure the car doesn't go rolling when I park on an incline in the mountains. Granted I can put it in gear but probably not the best idea to put the load on the transmission.
Thx!!

Mine needed the be pulled all the way to max, then I adjusted the parking brake and it is better. Should take no more than 4-5 clicks to engage.
Basically, remove rear wheels, disengage parking brake, use a screwdriver through an access hole in the rotor to change the adjustment 'wheel'.
Search for how to adjust - I think there is a Youtube video that covers it while doing a brake job.

You can also adjust the parking brake handle. In the back consol compartment, there is a rubber mat, remove it and there is a plastic panel underneath it. Remove the panel and there you'll see the ebrake cables and the adjustment cam. Very easy to do.
