I run the Rennline solid mounts on my car and love them. I noticed an appreciable difference in the weight transfer from the rear of the car. I feel a slight increase in engine vibration at idle, but no difference in cruising. I can't say that I notice any difference in cabin noise either. I replaced these at the same time as upgrading to a 997tt trans mount.

I bought and Installed the Torque Solutions Urethane filled units with the matching Torque Solutiions Transmission mount. Being a "daily driver" I didn't like them as they made too much cabin noise and vibrated too much.

Does anyone know if the RSS mounts would be quieter and vibrate less than the Torque Solutions product?

I know the TS products are well built, likely higher performance, but the Urethane's durometer was just too hard for my use.

Thoughts?

I like the look of these mounts. I wasn't brave enough to go solid though -- semi solid is good for me at this point.

Solid motor mounts do not mess with the knock sensors? I like the RSS stuff. I have their upper and lower arms, and 4 point roll bar. All fit as it should.

I don't believe so. The item generating noise (vibrations) is the engine and the piezo crystal in the knock sensor is looking for a certain frequency. The only thing that might give a erroneous signal is rocks/gravel hitting the chassis/tube but they are one offs that shouldn't excite the ecu into pulling timing.
Turbo motors are set up to be more sensitive but still should be clear of issue.
I run the RSS semi-solid items myself and appreciate the difference.
Cheers
Jay

The Oem 964RS semi solid engine mounts are great and do not transmit any noise into the cabin. Just a tiny hint of vibration at idle. Great product....
