I've finally joined the 996 Turbo club
The Supra has been sold and I purchased a 996 turbo from a 6speedonline member.
The car is a 2001 with a EVOMS GT610 package, Bilstein PSS10's, a GT3 adjustable rear swaybar and Champion Motorsports wheels.
It's a blast to drive and I'm still impressed with the torque and power of this car. This is saying a lot when you consider I'm coming from a Supra that had 540rwhp and 500rwtq. My new 911 dynoed 526awhp and 515awtq, but feels faster than my Supra. My buddy has a 600+ rwhp Viper and he said my car feels as fast as his Viper.
The pictures below are from the previous owner. I have removed the flat black stripes and I'm trying to decide what to do with the EVOMS stickers on the side windows. I don't mind having something subtle to denote the GT610 package, but these stickers don't mention the GT610 package and aren't subtle enough.
I believe I'm going to sell the Champion Motorsports wheels and do something else, though I like them overall. I'm just not a fan of the bolts. I'm also going to replace the head unit with an updated Navigation system (recommendations are welcome).
I'm also going to install a GT2 deck lid and black out the headlight surrounds, but those are going to have to wait a while.

Very, very, nice. I like the Champion Motorsports as well. I just picked mine up as well. On 93 octane I make just a few more rwhp so I know how it pulls. Love the black too!

What are you doing lurking on the 996 turbo forum, it's about the only 911 turbo model you don't own.

Looks great! I recently got a 2001 black turbo as well, in similarly fantastic condition. Mine is stock though. The first thing I did was rip out the crap stock nav system. I'd recommend the new kenwood series for the garmin nav. Lots of topics on here look around to see what suits you. You'll want a new amp as well. I did all my own wiring, with the help of fellow 6speeders. Enjoy!

For my usage, I'm OK with the sound of the stock system. I'm just narrowing it down to the best head unit probably going to be a Kenwood or Pioneer.
It appears there is no harness available for our cars. Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the stock 2001 nav unit?

I'm using stock speakers as well. But I found out through trial and error that if you change the head unit from th factory nav, you won't be able to use the stock amp. There is an adapter kit on eBay by you can only use parts of it. I got It mostly for the porsche bezel. I'll post up the wiring diagrams I have when I get home to my CPU.
