Crappy idle at times...you shouldn't have any issues though if they're tuned correctly.

Yes they can be.. 996 ecu? If so then biggest for gas would be 1100cc to idle proper.

yes and an injector that isn't use to it's fullest potential (around 80% duty cycle) will have poor fuel atomisation which hurts fuel economy and performance.

I've got 87# injectors and Proto Todd is having trouble getting the tune just right. He hasn't come right out and said so, but I'm pretty sure he thinks they're too big.

Sounds odd as other cars are running that injector. Sure nothing else is at play here? Whats you rail psi?

Why would you want too much fuel? You want the right size for 80% duty cycle at your highest boost and small enough to idle properly.

NO, unless the fuel pressure regulator isn't big enough, adding a fuel pump shouldn't raise the pressure as the regulator controls the pressure. It will only prevent the lost of pressure in case one isn't enough for the demand of the engine.

So what size injectors should I be looking at guys?

If I get injectors for a k24/18 will I need larger ones if I got to alpha 30s at a later date?

Or can I get a set of injectors that are suitable for both?

there can be a lot of debate here but with 30rs you will need more fuel0 thus a bigger fuel system- injectors alone will not make it past 1.2 bar....
Ive seen clients run past 1.5 bar on 60s with a second series pump... but you can put in 80s as well.. both on 3.8 bar...
different tuners different approaches...
