DFI systems are completely different than your standard fuel injection system. It's more related to diesel injection than MPFI and in no way should they be compared in operation parameters other than that they're fuel delivery systems with pumps and injectors.

130psi base on injectors not designed to run that pressure is nutty and dangerous on multiple levels.

yup special high pressure injectors, mechanical high pressure fuel pumps on the rails. completely different from conventional fuel injection.

I will not get into math with you and a lot of thing "work" as long as you dont use them. F1 and direct injectors do not run on 12 volt.. Two different animals..
You totally missed my point sir: F1 systems take advantage of the improved atomization...and so do I. I am very curious to the myriad of assumptions around my projects...including the 1200lb comment. Nonetheless, I have had amazing results, long term that is, with higher than 40 psi pressures, and use them exclusively on my builds. Holley ratings are very conservative, to say the least, and I work directly with the manufacturer, and beta tested the prototype units for them. Try experimenting as I have, you will like the results. Thanks.

Forgive me if I take offense to the "nutty and dangerous" comments, as I am big on reliability and safety. Once again, the comparisons (dfi and mpfi) were in regard to atomization benefits: power, cooling, et al. In addtion, my n/a setups are at 130psi, and my boosted hovers in the 90psi range, base...and yes, they are designed to run at those pressures! I have done this to race and street cars for over a decade, with championships and happy customers across the globe. Many successful teams have done the same across many forms of motorsports. It may be better if I keep my advantageous modification insights to minimum on forums. These back and forth comments could go on for days. Thanks for you contributions, and back to the original topic.

Nice setup, BTW.

Bisimoto I'm in Cali for some IBM Training but about 45 minutes away (mapped last night) but no time to come by and chat with you. Trust me people question everything, and if you don't do it their way you are stupid in their eyes. Don't let them bother you and just keep kicking ***.

I knocked out enough head gaskets to know how important a REAL fuel system is. I know you did too. we use the same fuel pump for now. I like 20% left in my duty cycle and at least 10% overhead left in pump with A/C on headlights on and radio bumping you fav rap song... When you boost a motor and run psi like that on a 1/4 only ***** out car that you never lift off the gas put on a radio use headlights power windows...ect... You can do alot of things am it "works".

+1

There are a few people on the 996t forum that knock people down for trying different things. There are people whom use technology and push the envelope by trying something new and their are the ones that modify something that has already been made. People on this section hate seeing the former, unless ..

Nice setup, BTW.
Reading about cars like yours (and Tim's) that go so far beyond standard upgrades and truly explore the possibilities of different configurations by ditching the playbook and starting from scratch is inspiring. A lot of us dream, but you guys execute! Very nice, and congratulations to you BOTH on amazing builds that stretch the imagination! At your level, engineering and art are one.
