My New 996TT

All, I have to say thank you for all the great information on this site. Last Wednesday, my 15 year old son and I did a great father son road trip. Drove up to Reno from SF Bay area to pick up my new TT. Got to visit the gun gallery at Cabellas as well. A perfect trip! I have been looking for close to a year and found this one in Reno. For me, a relatively low miles (50k or so) vehicle without too many options. Not perfect, not a salvage, but for me, just right. I got it for less the $40K and unfortunately with Commie Cal taxes, around $42,000 final. I really appreciate all the great advice, opinions and knowledge to be had here. This will be my daily driver, as my son now gets the 16 year old Grand Cherokee for school. I think I got the better deal. I have always wrenched on my cars and this one won't be any different. It is a steep learning curve, but a nice challenge. My wife won't let me install a lift in the garage, so I gotta improvise. Happy motoring. PS My son can't drive a stick, so I'm safe for now

I fully enjoy my 996TT everytime I get behind the wheel. That will never change. Like the company says: "there is no substitute"
