2nd gen PCCBs slight squeal around town?

My car has 2nd gen PCCBs on it and has a very small amount of squeal cruising around town. Is this pretty normal?

While we're on the topic does anyone know for certain iof PCCB cars have a larger master cylinder? How about the 997T vs the 996 T? Can you retrofit a 997 master cylinder if in fact it has a larger master cylinder? Should really firm up the brakes.

Squealing is normal. That is one of the reasons why people don't like them (in addition to initial cost and cost for replacement rotors and pads). Do some searches.. some people are replacing them with steel brakes and save the PCCB's for when they are selling the car..

Fanatic - I've got 2nd gen PCCB's and (knock wood) haven't had the squealing problem. If you do, I'd look into the usual culprits.

Yes they will squeak ... Ceramic brakes were intended for racing, have you heard a race car ? Yes this is not a race car but you are using the similar technology they would be using....wrong intention/application on pccbs for most people here.

It is a GT2 so I guess it's as close to a street legal race car as one can get
