Blew my Alpha 28s.

Hey guys,

I blew up my alpha 28's. I had sent them out to be rebuilt by a company called Durabuilt who claimed they could rebuild the turbos. After less then 500 miles they were toast. Now I am looking for a pair of K24/18g turbos. If you have a set please let me know.

Also anyone know if there will be a huge difference in performance by switching to the K24s?

Always a disappointment when something goes wrong.
Make it right, these are great turbos. Send them to Tial and have them properly repaired.

Umm yeah...turbos just don't blow up. bad oil or no oil are really the only thing that can kill a turbo..unless you sucked something into them...Do you know what happened originally, when you mistakenly sent them to someone other than Tial?

Major boost leak(s) and consistantly overspinning turbos for an undetermined amount of time?

Are the a28's rebuildable? Id trade my 18g billets for them if the rebuild isnt too expensive.
