105 to NB 405 Transition in LA this AM
I am over from the 997 board and with apologies for this being my first post on this board, I feel that I need to post this. I don't mean to start any flame wars, but if the person in the blue 996 turbo who was coming up from behind me this morning at 100+ MPH (I was going about 65-70), tailgating me and then passing me and other cars on the right shoulder, just to get to the bumper to bumper 15mph traffic that was in plain site 100 yards ahead of us, is on this board, I would suggest you take it to the track next time. I had my 8 year old in the car with me this morning and that stunt you pulled was completely unsafe, illegal and frankly pointless given the LA rush hour traffic.
Driving like that gives all of us Porsche drivers a bad name. I am embarassed for you.

Word!
That wasn't me because mine is black, but I usually come onto the 105 at the top of 4th gear...driving on the shoulder though? Not cool.

Nothing to do with the car. While certainly no turbo, my 997 C2S has more than enough juice to do me in if I am not careful, and I don't feel the need to drive like that in rush hour traffic. The issue is that he could have easily killed someone or himself. In fact, about a year ago a CHP officer was killed by some jackass doing the same thing a bit further up on the same freeway. I just wasn't sure what this guy was trying to prove.
It was a damn nice car though. Anyway, cheers, and thanks for letting me vent.
