I had an American friend that lived in the Swiss Alps for a few years and spoke very highly of the quality of life there. I guess everything comes with a price. Since they quit giving tickets for noisy vehicles here in Utah, we get all types of "Bobber" custom motorcycles with short straight pipes that are incredibly noisy and nearly deafening. It's getting really irritating, and I'm in the motorcycle business.

GLWS!

The Swiss Police do regular controls where they just block off the road and put everybody through a control area, inspecting the driving licences and cars as they choose, usually it is done so that once you are in the process there is no way of getting out .....as they have at least 30 officers

Wow -- and it sounds like they know what to look for too? Do they have experts (or are they trained) in spotting aftermarket parts? Sounds like a sobriety check point for cars. Bummer.

ipower is infamous around these parts
Does the speedtechexhaust not have a supplementary sheet called "Beiblatt" in Switzerland?

I can confirm, that swiss police is very restrictive. Normally they are more focused on japanese cars.

maybe my collegue will buy it. is the exhaust still in switzerland?

No accompanying Beiblatt, only TUV approval is excepted if non OEM, the exhaust is still in Zurich at the moment

When you get a ticket in Swizerland, isn't the fine based on how much you make?
