Chris

Go with the Garett w/o the ball bearings. I will be out of town this week, but we are all getting together for lunch next weekend.

Just drive Xico and my car and you will be very convinced.

Garrett GT series turbos with water-cooled center sections.

Or the Ruf turbos.

The best turbo for the 996tt is the hot side turbo used on the 1995 GT2 (K24) mated with mated with a TO4.

These babies are larger and far more powerful than the current K24's, great response and mated with the proper TO4 this combination is unbeatable for all around performance.

These GT2 K24's are now very hard to find.

Craig, Ruf modifies KKK turbos with their own compressor wheels, etc.

Chad, why is the T04 is better than a GT-30 or 35? The T04 is older technology. In fact, Todd @ Protomotive told me that the new GT series turbos spool up way faster than the old T-series turbos, and are far more efficient than the K turbos.

i agree tyson... i am wondering why no one is really using a gt turbine turbo? ball bearing type turbo..? the benefits are greater with a ball bearing type system, it spools faster,, which will help the turbo a lot since it has a bit of a lag off the line..?

water cooling it and oil cooling it will get the best cooling that the turbo can have.. it is not that hard to do.. is it more of a price point? ball bearing are more expensive than regular t series turbo..?
