Dyno Test Throttle Body Set-Up Friday..

John,
Hopefully you can clarify this... your first baseline dyno was 586hp / 595tq, which is very respectable. You claimed +14hp/24tq but the files you posted show these gains to be different runs and another story.
On the first file, you gained 9hp but stayed the same on tq, the 2nd file shows a 14hp gain but the torque DROPPED 26.5 to 568.56. (What happened?)
At best, it looks like a 9hp/0tq gain which is what I somewhat expected with a tb swap, I wasn't there so I know there is more to this...

The dealer tried to give me a comparison sheet with the first good 74 TB run compared to the heat soaked run with the stock set-up...Wow was I happy until I figured it out..lol..
A good Dyno operator is worth his weight in gold..lol..
All in all at WOT,atleast the Bigger TB carried the power longer in a certain RPM range.

John - Gotcha, I have 5 threads open and starting to get fogged.
F me running... wow. there must have been a hell of a restirction, the rest of the rpms look ok, but at 4000rpm the dynos show a gain of 95

maybe someone stuck a golf ball in front of the original TB
To date john is truly the only independent tester with no stake in the product and results are not good. Especially considering that we are talking about a 6mm bigger TB. That is a min 10% gain in area for that TB vs stock. Also, where did this TB come from? Cayenne? well, how does that affect these cars.

After comparing dynos, the power is coming in a A LOT earlier, the peak about 25hp, with 95hp gains around 4000rpm, but still this is really impressive and would be a big difference driving with that cars setup.

LMAO - I agree and I am guessing that Johns results are more of what people should expect.

As always,,results may vary with mods AND dyno operators..lol..

ok so 997tt TB is good, must have been vivid that I read about uses the cayenne TB on their unit.
#73
Yes,,,I think I sent you a PM explaining the sizes?
#74
possibly. Sorry, I have been getting a lot of pm's and emails on this. if you are not maxed out on injector size, I would have thought that you would be making more power just because of the TB. Big difference in TB sizes.
#75
I have plenty of fuel,,72 injectors and an extra fuel pump,Plus Todd from Protomotive said I would have no problem supplying the demand if it was needed..
