Ridiculous!! I have never seen anyone actually swerve and hit a rider before but have been almost hit by "blind drivers" many times.

 

I've been hit by a car when we were both going about 60 mph. I've got a big BMW with aluminum panniers. To be honest, we were going in the same direction, and I barely felt it. Such is the power of of a couple of huge 30 lbs flywheels rotating a very high speed (the tires).

I barely had a dent in a pannier, but the poor guy had a pretty messed up quarter panel on his white slammed Honda. Oh well.

I tried to report it to the CHP, but they discouraged me saying that it would count as an accident against my insurance. He gave me his name in case the other driver tried to turn the tables and claim a hit and run.

All in all, a win, and to be honest, it wasn't scary at all. The other driver was just pissed that I was lane splitting, and acted pretty aggro to cut me off.

 

Apparently that guy in the car was an big time ***hole and very stupid to mess with a group of bikers...
If it was my riding bros and I ,we would have followed him off and gave him a much deserved lesson in respect !!
Though,,,Maybe he was a Harley Biker and didnt like Jap bikes..
Its a shame that a car driver would use his car to play games with any type of biker..

 

Some of those bikes took some real hits not just near misses. I don't know wtf this guy was thinking. Also he wasn't even booked for anything having to do with the bikes (just drugs?).

 

That's way beyond reckless endangerment and more like attempted manslaughter. I've never seen anything like that. Was the driver on drugs? Interesting to note when the tape stopped rolling. I can guess what happened next.

 

Umm..if the bikers didn't want the psycho in the car to keep swerving into them, maybe they should have left him alone instead of continuously taunting him?

I'm not saying they deserve to be hit. Of course, they do not. But it was obvious from the video that the bikers were escalating the situation by continually coming after him.

Just goes to show, you never know what you are dealing with...what if he started shooting at them? Always better to just drive away and report it later if you got the plate... as others may have reported it too...

 

wow bunch of really close call. i know few bike guys that would have OWNED that guy for doing something like that. lol

 

I am not condoning violence, but if that was my neighborhood, that guy would not have made it home...

 

I'm with you on this one. During the whole time I watched this video, I kept thinking why didn't they just let it go? Obviously, the driver is an a-hole, but I would rather have a bruised ego than play chicken with a car when I am on a bike. I think those bikers got lucky.

 

Really? I feel I'll never be able to get the 3min and 47 sec back.. I ride all the time and all they had to do is get away from the guy. I'm all for having fun but, seems those bikers are just as dangerous as the driver of the car.
