19" BBS LMs?

So I called Tirerack today to ask why they don't display the BBS LM wheel when you look up wheels for an '01 Turbo. I talked to a guy named Clark, he said that the particular wheel doesn't fit in the front because it rubs the caliper. Does anyone have any more info or actually have these wheels?
Thanks

Interesting... Overall, I would say that I have had a GREAT experience with Tire Rack buying tires and wheels. The only downside, if any, is that they tend to recommend conservative fitments for cars in order to make sure they fit as wide of an array of cars possible. For example, I purchased OZ Ultraleggera HLT's for my car in 19". Recommended fitment on the front was 19x8.5 +48, or +53. They ended up sending me the +53 front b/c the +48 was out of stock. I run a 15mm H&R spacer on this wheel and fitment is good. I could honestly run more like a 17-18mm spacer with no issue.

I researched BBS to see what fitments they offer on the LM 19".

For the Front:
The front fitment they offer is 19x8.5 +50mm offset model #LM 169 – DSPK. They do offer a +55mm offset wheel which I suspect is the one that rubs the front caliper. With the +50mm, you could easily run a +10mm spacer, which would net to a 18x8.5 +40mm (996GT2 front wheel spec).

For the Rear:
The rear fitment they offer for the WB car is 19x11.0 +50mm offset model #LM 199 – DSPK. This wheel will work, but you could easily run a 10mm spacer for the rear, netting your offset on an 11" wheel to +40mm. I personally run a 19x11.0 +40mm wheel with a 7m spacer, netting my offset to +33mm with no issues at all on a 315/25/19 tire and unrolled fender. The 10mm spacer on that wheel would give you plenty of safety margin, but you could run 15mm spacer without issue as well.

Good luck and I hope this information helps you out sir.

Contact me if you have any questions!

Chris.

+30et rear? That would be awesome fitment. BBS doesn't appear to make that offset any longer so I bet that would be a nice one to have.

If he does decide to sell, would you please have him contact me? - I'd be interested.

Chris.

Hmm, I have some Champion wheels that are basically flush with the body work, and those are et53 (front) and et44 (rear). You guys sure an et30 for the rear wouldn't be going over board?

Why don't you simply opt for a custom solution? We talked about the FMS-01 before, a simple, yet elegant solution, can be obtained with or without hardware exposed, flat or step lip, numerous color finishes, sizes, custom fitments, the works.
