No Drone? Is there such a thing?

No Drone? Is there such a thing?
Maybe I'm looking for something that doesn't exist, but does anybody actually have an aftermarket exhaust that doesn't drone?
I currently have a Fabspeed racing cat setup with a muffler delete (PBA family gold cards come in handy)... Its a fantastic sound with no drone, however it is LOUD. Its almost as loud as a cup car, so it has to go.
Does anyone have a good exhaust system that isn't super loud without a drone?

Ponzz,
Our 2.5 quiet was designed as a no drone system and has virtually no drone - a tiny hint at times, but not bothersome and not often. IMO, it's as good as it it gets and the sound at WOT is the best I've heard! Read our testimonials and you will see what I am talking about - our customers love our 2.5 quiet X-cellerator system for this reason and so do I - I use it on my personal car...
Give me a call or email/PM if you wish to discuss it.

John, I'm leaning towards the 2.5 myself, but wanted to ask a question... How much power is being left on the table vs the 3.0 system? I'm looking to upgrade to either K16 Billet turbos in the future, or something providing 550-600hp.
Would your 2.5 exhaust be restrictive in reaching that hp goal? If so, I'd rather sacrifice sound quality for the optimal system for my power level I want.
EDIT: I will be running cats.

The 3.0 will make an additional 25HP peak HP for a split second at WOT. There is a 1500 RM window that climbs to 25HP then back down, all in 1500 RPM's. It's a spike that can not be felt via seat of the pants driving. I personally would and have gone with the quality of cabin comfort over this brief spike in power. Our 2.5 w/ 100 cell cats will reach your goals no problem.

We have been at this a long time and have a lot of experience with these exhausts. I have designed, tested and dynoed many versions, so I do know what I am talking about. The advice I gave the original poster is spot on, as usual - that's the truth of the matter. Here is the dyno that show a 2.5 vs. a 3.0 with 2.5 tips (our moderate sound) and a full 3.0. You can see that the blip in power is exactly 1,400-1,500 RPM's of which really only 800-1000 RPM's are meaningful, powerwise. That segment of RPM at WOT goes by in literally a fraction of a second - the 25 HP gain is only at the peak, so leading up to the peak 25HP and back down from it, it's not even 25HP. Note that before and after this brief spike to redline, they are dead even...
Bottom line, In my experience, which includes seat time and dyno time, I stand by my statement that the difference is exactly as I stated, brief and undetectable at these HP levels.
I prefer the comfort of our 2.5 system over a 3.0 - some like it louder and our 3.0 does that phenomenally and you get the few extra ponies. If that's not enough, then we have the catless X-Pipe super sound for those that have to have it cup car loud...
Here you go...
