911t epl k16g kit vs 11 5.0 610+rwhp & 11 shelby 550rwp
It has been about 4 months since I purchased my car & Tues was the 1st time I was able to drive it running properly with the new mods (clutch was already broken in and EPL tune/datalogging done previously between issues)
I plan on doing a write up on my experiences with those that have helped and parts I have purchased soon. I will go into further detail on my car at that point.
I have been complaining that my car does not seem as powerful as the power that it should be making & was getting discouraged. Back when I was really in the game I was pretty accurate with my butt dyno and dreaded that I thought I felt I was making no more then 550 CRANK HP!!
One of my best friends came down from Cali, I was telling him I would love to run my car against a dyno proven vehicle to see where I am power wise in the real world once and for all and just face reality. Well leave it up to him to set something up that very night with some of his friends that he left down here in Canada. He called me and told me that he has a friend that has a 11 Shelby Stang that dynoed 550RWHP (dynojet) and it would be a perfect car to run.
No sooner did I jump into my car and drove down. Upon arrival I noticed from a distance not one white mustang but two. As I drove closer I notice one of them has M/T Drag Radials in back!! It was his other friend that I knew from back in the day with a 11 Mustang 5.0 supercharged making 610+RWHP(dynojet). I told them I just came out to see where my car stands power wise not to get a beat down!
We agreed to first run the 11 Shelby cobra (550RWHP) from a second gear roll. I just got my car back from a 7K+ tranny re-build so I was shifting very slow and making matters worse for me we lined up and he held me at only 3200rpms agains his V8 super charged instant torque machine. I tried to tell him, but over the noise he just started the 3 honks. Luckily I could of at least break boost (thank you EPL!!) out of vacuum, were I should be at 4000+rpms break boosting into 10+psi's!! The sinking feeling that this is all starting off wrong continued when he hit third honk and I gave up the hit to his instant torque beast!! I let off the break as I floored my machine as I caught his pull, grabbed 3rd pulling steadily at a rate that screamed, "Bobby you are making some GOOD power!".! Touched 4th and pass the place where the guys were waiting (the finsih line). I asked how the finished looked and they said I "trained" him. I stopped looking back at a bus length when I hit forth. We did a U and the passenger of the Shelby (he owns a 700hp Porsche an older one) said, "I guess you are making more power then you think!". They had no excuses and they hooked real well being it was brand new tarmac laid.
The friend with the 610+RWHP 5.0 asked, "the way you pulled him, I think you are ready to run me. Do you want to line up?". Full of adrenaline I quickly agreed. We lined up with him on 26" tall tires so he is in his 2nd gear sweet spot and would not move up higher, again leaving me at about 3300rpms!! I can really say THANK GOODNESS for break boosting because I told him to do the honking and again he took the hit! Seeing his cars rear squat & what seemed to lift the front suspension between his tire and wheel well and his power shifting, I quickly realized someone is out for kill! I was pleasantly surprised he only got 1/2 car from that advantage with me gaining a few feet until I had to shift into 3rd which seamed like an eternity compared to his shifts which he gained that pull back. The only time he gained back anything to my slow pull was when I had to shift!! I was so tempted to shift quick not even power shift, but just to shift aggressively, but the thought that I am driving a Porsche that i did not purchase for this type of activity solely in mind (straight line who's the King Kong pulls) and the just paid $7000 tranny rebuild kept that emotion in check as I painfully and slowly slid it into gogs. By the top of third he was at my rear bumper and when I shifted into 4th the power verses his instant shifting gains through out the runs came to an end! In forth we were passing the "finish line" and he was about 1/2 car back with me pulling!! At the end of the day this Mustang is a 610+RWHP beast so I was not running away by any means.
I would say my car is making about 580AWHP (dynojet) and if it was Rear wheel drive 600RWHP (dynojet). Those figures would be aniline with Switzer's p700 BILLET K16g package they offer (602RWHP on a dyno jet).
Any thought to the power my car is making 6Speed?
After all the headaches, research, time down, torcher of thinking I spent all this money to hardly no avail, I am beyond happy knowing I am at the power levels I should be at and maybe a little more! To top it off the last logs I sent Dave/tony at EPL they said my car loves the 94octane I have down here and there is room for either a little more boost and or timing!

Thanks for all your help with my exhaust decision, even though I didn't purchase it new from you. It sounds sweet and the way a Porsche should of sounded from the factory!! I will do a full review of this work of art shortly!

Well about two hours ago coming back from the grocery store, I had a unexpected encounter with a C6Z06. Without all the details filling up this thread and even after the Z06 two attempts, within 2nd and 3rd gear I had at least a bus and some or what felt like 8-10mph on it!!

I know, I really want to and am going to look into picking a couple of them up, but first i need to do my headlights. Watch that be the time i video that I get my butt handed to me!
I have ALOT of my runs with my older Supra and AWE STG3 S4,so I need to get this new beast in action on video!

I had to cancel my appointment because of the tranny started giving issues. Then by the end of the week I was on a flat bed. This is the first time I have had the car ready with everything working properly. 2 weeks ago I was tuning it with EPL and in a week we went from 13 to 19 psi. I then had to send the car back to drop the tranny again because third (one of the first reasons I brought it in) was grinding in 3rd at higher RPMS still.
Got the car back After 1.5 weeks, but before that I was tuning it daily with EPL waiting for the time to bring it back in to rectify the 3rd gear issue. That week before it was going in to the shop I was going up 1.5psi daily after I sent EPL my datalogs. Through that time the car was not feeling strong. The day I got it back I had the runs, so no time to dyno. Quarter mile track is about 1hr away and I am not up to lunching it either abuse wise and being so far from home. If you are just idle off the line your trap would read lower then a proper launch, so that is not a good indicator of power. Even if you lunch half decent and have some wheels spin that would at least read within the vacenity of a good mph power reading. Being I am not comfortable launching it due to fear of breaking and spending more $$ and being eithout me newly purchased machine, launching off an off idle pull would read lower not reflecting the right mph.
I have one more round of data logging to do as per EPL and after that I will strap it to a dyno.
Thanks

I know you went for the first time a few weeks ago and ran it with psm on. Did you try it with psm off like we suggested? I assume if you are doing 4k clutch drops you are doing psm off?
