WANTED: 01-02 996 turbo, details inside!
Hi Everyone,
I am currently debating if I want to take the plunge and sell my NSX for a 996 turbo, and a big part of my decision depends on what I can get for my price range. So below is what I am looking for, if anyone knows of any or has one for sale and wants to talk, please shoot me a PM:
YEAR:any (preferably 02+,but popen to 01s if everything else checks out)
mileage:below 50k
COLOR(in order of preference): any form of dark grey, silver, white, black.
INTERIOR: must be black
TRANNY:6 sp only
MODS:I am open.Stock or modified I am all ears, depending on whats been done,of course.
PRICE: less then 45k (if really low mileage or good one comes along, can stretch to 50k) I have CASH in hand, I don't need to wait to sell the nsx to buy.
CONDITION:doesn't need to be showroom exterior condition, but needs to be mechanically great.
I live in the bay area, CA, local cars obviously preferred but I am willing to go anywhere in the USA as long as the car can still be CA smog Legal.
Anyway, let me know what you have. And if there is another place I should post this as opposed to this particular forum, I apologize and Mods please feel free to move.
thanks!

sure...its a 91 5spd, chassis has 125k miles (nothing for these cars) but motor was completely rebuilt about 5k miles ago with forged pistons/etc and tuned with Comptech supercharger, exhaust, headers,on some koni suspension and eibach springs..Dynos at about 375whp, which is nothing compared to what 996 tts can put out, but it weighs only 2800 lbs so its fairly quick...I like to tell myself that its somewhat similar to a 996 GT3 in terms of hp/weight ratio, no driver aids, etc, but of course its a 21 year old Honda so it isn't exactly a fair comparison
I've had it for 6 years and it was my daily driver for the first 4 of those years, and absolutely love it, but it may be time for a change.
Below is a ****ty pic I took with my iphone after its last wash:

Hey thanks for the offer..I live in South San Jose and work in cupertino, so am close to you..I'd love to take you up on the offer, I am traveling for the next two weeks but when I get back I'll ping you..I haven't posted enough yet so can't send PMs yet, I guess...
Since you are local do you go to Thunderhill and Laguna Seca often? if so do you mind if I ask what type of laptimes you typically get?

Yup
Thill, all my latest mods not including my exhaust, and revised front splitter- 1:56's - pushing at 8/10s, i was testing front splitter, and addressing some of the weak links on how to perfect it.
LS: None of the following were on: exhaust/front splitter/solid motor mounts/ slicks/ GT2RS intercoolers - : I was on MSCUPS. 1:36's
I suspect my Thill times will be very low 1:55's with the exhaust
I suspect my LS would be low 1:33's, easy.
I'm doing a Reno inferno event, in Oct that is listed on rennlist. You should come with your car.
