My first 996TT is on its way
Hi all -
I am obviously new to this P forum and have bought this 2001 White 996TT from another member on the 6speed forum.

I reached out to Tomer last week and we started negotiation. After a successful PPI last weekend, I made the payment on Monday and the 911 was put on the truck today. Shipping company said it should be delivered to my house by early next week. I'm hoping and praying for a Monday or Tuesday delivery. I am itching for her arrival. My wife and I fell in love with the white with red interior. Car looks to be in very meticulous condition and Tomer is a very nice guy and easy to work with. It definitely makes for a very smooth out of state purchase.

How did you like the M5? I always heard that engine was designed for the 7 speed SMG and didn't work well with a 6 speed manual? I considered one before buying my 996TT but decided to stick with something smaller.

I liked the M5 alot. I've always wanted an M5 and got my first M5 back in 2008... which was an e39 M5. Awesome car. But then 2 years later - I thought I wanted a more up to date M5 so I got rid of the e39 M5 and bought the e60 M5. Don't get me wrong... I love both cars. They were both very powerful and very easy to drive around town. But two years later, I thought I wanted something smaller. I was looking to get an NSX but started peeping at the 911 Turbos. Long story short - I went with 911 Turbo over the NSX.

Definitely a lot of similarities in car taste! The E39 M5 is probably my favorite one; I wouldn't mind owning one but have absolutely no need for it.
There was an NSX gathering on the beach this weekend; there were probably about 20 of them parked next to each other; such a hot car!!

Car was delivered on Sunday afternoon... much sooner than expected. She is definitely a beauty. I was thoroughly impressed with how clean the car was. You can tell the previous owners has taken very good care of her. Only thing is how do I do with the squeaky clutch. It's functional but just kinda annoying. Anyone have any idea how to deal with a squeaky clutch? Thanks.
