What mods do I need to make ~500whp on 91octane.

Would this cut it?

K16 Billetts
GT2RS Intercoolers
3" Exhaust Catless
Tune
FPR

What else?

I did ~500awhp on 93oct with AMS K16 billets, EPL tuning and fueling (injectors rather than a 5bar fpr), catless stock exhaust, stock IC's and stock inlet pipes. For 91oct I would just add an aquamist HFS-3 or 4 for about $700 and you'll be at or over 500awhp.

I do believe those mods with 91 octane will do it for you.
You are talking rear wheel HP?

AWD. How much difference is RWD to AWD powerwise?

you dont need aquamist, just your mods and inlet pipes will give you 500whp or more (also 72lbs injectors)

you don't need injectors to get there. That's a waste of money on a 500whp kit.

IMO- the most reliable 500awhp =

-Intake piping AMS just posted some graphs in power gain over stock
-3" exhaust
-Intercoolers
-ECU
-k24s, k16B's etc.

After that, it gets out of hand

Pretty much yep. The good thing at this level is the car is rock solid reliable still and a freaking blast to drive. Great upgrade path and you'll enjoy it a lot. K16 billets typically come with 1bar wastegate actuators, but make sure get those as well. If you plan to do the install yourself; you will want to pick up a mity-vac so you can dial in the wastegate actuators as well.

I'd encourage you to take the time and do some preventative maintenance as well. When I did the upgrade you're describing, I went ahead and replaced the following:

Coil Packs
Spark Plugs (Denso IK22's)
O2 sensors pre and post cat
MAF sensor
Rennline motor mounts
997TT trans mount

- Chris.

That's a good recommendation too - although one best handled when you do a clutch change since you need the motor down for this mod.
