Fidelity Platinum Warranty - Cost Comparison

I recently purchased a mint 2002 Porsche 911TT (only 40K miles). The car has been absolutely babied. I am still considering purchasing the Fidelity Platinum Warranty coverage. I was curious if others have recently purchased this coverage so I can compare costs.

I was told that Florida regulates warranty coverage, so prices are consistent throughout the entire state. I am not sure how this compares to other states, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't over-paying.

Quotes I have received:

$100 deductible
2 year, 24K miles - $3,952
3 year, 36K miles - $5,143

$250 deductible
2 year, 24K miles - $3,233
3 year, 36K miles - $4,103

Would appreciate any input others might have for me. Thanks in advance.

I purchased my 2004 996TT with 21Kin May. I posted on here also about whether or not to buy a warranty. After hearing from our fellow 6 Speeders, my Indi shop owner and even the local P dealer service rep, I decided it hopefully was not worth it. For a $4,000 investment in an insurance policy, they convinced me that it is rare for 996T to have two $2,000 repairs over the expected ownership period for me. Even if the car had $1,000 repairs, I would need 4 to break even. Everyone seems to think these engines are bullet proof. What I do know is repairs and maintenance on these cars is expensive. But that $4K goes a long way to cover the routine maintenance.

Just giving you my analysis that I went through. Since I'm a CPA, of course I had to play the number's game!!!
