no very very different vehicles. Thats a Sierra but not with a Cosworth engine. iIRC that would be a 3 ltr v6 with an aftermarket turbo kit.
The Escort RS Cosworth was based on the Sierra RS 2.0 ltr Cosworth.
All Escort Cosworths shells were hand built in Germany my Karmann and are very rare. Only 2500 Homologation Specials were ever built with a total of 7000 ota of the car in total. It has been estimated that there are only 4000 Escort Cosworths left in the World every time one is scrapped there is a Gold Rush for parts.

Back in early 90's when I was in Republic Of Ireland and was young and struggling, I always lusted after three cars, one was this this Ford Cosworth, and the other two being Lancia Delta Integrale and the Peugeot GTI (spelling/) ...
Lovely car and enjoy in good health.
On a side note: I am indeed warming upto importing one of these cars to state hopefully in near future

I don't know why they were never imported ,but then again we never get any of the cool cars from Europe that I wish we did.
There was a company in Oregon I think called sun import I think , where they imported and made them us legal. As to what they did , I think converted the klm to mph and sone other stuff can't remember exactly..
But I'd love to get one , I heard you can get one from Canada and bring it down.
