Actually I disagree...I think we are promoting the exact opposite. I am at least... When I first bought my car I kept having people telling me that I couldn't do this or do that because it was a "Porsche"...That I needed to buy a complete package from a tuner along with tuning or else I'd regret it...

Having never worked on a porsche before, I was able to put together a complete e85 fuel system, swap injectors, install t3 flanged hta 30s, etc etc in my garage then have a friend of mine tune the car mafless. I learned a lot of things from Tim and Mark and through their hard work and experimenting I knew what path I wanted to go with. We thought it would be "fun" to start a club. Now vendors and other members are getting mad at us???

well you gotta admit that installing your own rods ( even though carillo made them for us and we didnt forge them ourselves) is tougher then having a shop do it for you? thus it comes with different level of self-gratification, pride in your work and knowledge you pick up along the way.

its unfortunate that it offends you out of all people this much ...

I agree on the package thing. Hell that was me 4 years ago with my first setup. My thought was it's an gas motor... They are all the same so we took it apart. Pieced a kit together that maxed out the stock fuel pump ~650rwhp. Mark had those turbos as well. I wasn't going to pay $25k for that power. Remember 4 almost 5 years ago.

I also remember being told by people 1.5+ bar = boom. Then more than 650rwhp = boom. 840rwhp on stock DME @ 25psi and then 868rwhp on the fcon @ 26psi. All of this on a stock motor that was reved to 7800RPM.

A lot of us are in it together to do stuff people haven't done before. I've talked to most Porsche tuners in depth and they are good guys. I've talked to Markski a few hours on the phone on different stuff, ideas, etc. The guys over at EVOMS as well. Maybe it's different because they know I run a BIG setup on my car but everyone has been nothing but cool.

I come off as a dick a lot more now because there ARE things that aren't easy and it's made to seem like its so easy but nobody has any hard data.

Honestly if it breaks down the true definition of a HBK anyone who does maintain the car and do stuff themselves is a member. Sometimes a shop is needed for stuff (shop being someone knows what they are doing). I wish there were more around here because I think we are pretty entertaining to watch work on the Porsche. The guys at BL have seen it a bunch.

I didn't once own a Porsche shop and I've never built my own motor. So the possibility of cratering a lot of stuff and just waste money that's not my cup of tea. If I was building an Outlaw Radial car would I want to build my own motor or have ProLine build me a motor because its a proven company.

Tim did both so he knows what he is doing. Will I hate on that? No I think it is bad *** that he can. His car is nothing short of impressive. I am ready for him to beat my mph and 60-130 so I know what I need to TRY and shoot for.

Powell, have you figured out why the headgasket on your car blew? Tim's on regular old 10mm raceware studs and an oem gaskets and doesn't seem to be having the same problem.

Yes and when I get everything back I'll do a small write up. Needless to say I'll have almost 30ft lbs more of torque on the head bolts, EVOMS gaskets cut for the 12mm, Carrillos .260 Wrist Pins (problem we noticed when motor as apart, and Tim will see them if he has the .180's (or .190s, I cant remember exactly), no engine failure from it just will be an observation made and fixed. Bearings were perfect, pistons had ZERO sign of detonation or any damage, rings are perfect. Replacing some of the gaskets and the motor is going back together.

Also Tim has ~14 hours on the car with the two blown up turbos? I had 3000-4000 miles on my setup with the boost controller never dipping below 30 other than 2 or 3 times when I was testing issues.

**EDIT** It will only be noted on the wrist pins if you are revving to 8000-8300 probably. Our only guess what would have done it with NO other problems.

Blown up turbos arent really anything he can help. Precision is known to have quality control issues.

Good luck with getting her back together and continuing the hp wars.
