It's On: 996TT Tuner Shoot Out
Ok fellas I just heard back from Dan at European Car. They have all the equipment and will start sorting out tracks/dyno time at their usual places and I'm going to let him take the reigns from here on in. They want to get the testing done in November (depending on when they can rent track time etc..)
Chad if you have that original contact list of the people involved (they want to do 8-10 cars) and could send it to me that'd be great. I know you were saying that CEC would rep Tech Art, Autothority were going to submit a car (time permitting)? Also if you could talk to your Michelin guy about the tires again that'd be a great help- otherwise we can do a "run what ya' brung" or something.
Ok that's all for now folks but it's on which is great

Ok folks maybe you guys can help me out, this was CJVs original list 'o cars. The mag wants to do 8-10 (max)...
1) Stage V, The Super Beast, representing PES/EVO.
2) Fred Stage IVGT, representing PES/EVO.
3) Duane, representing Orbit Racing.
4) TechArt GT Street, representing CEC (not heard anything from them).
5) A Ruf car. Asgar @ Weissach Performance was gonna do something right Chad?
6) Hamann7, representating Protomotive.
7) The "cjv/ s car go" representating S Car Go Racing.
8) Imagine Auto Tippy.
Obviously this list of cars is still up in the air and as long as we fill 8-10 spots then that's cool. CJV said Autothority were going to try and "ready" their car but who knows.... I know we're not all ready yet so we'll try and make sure that we've got enough time. If I've missed anyone out please slap me in the morning. It's late and I haven't gone to bed yet so that's probably why I've missed ya...

OK fellas. Here's the latest update... They are arranging the exact track dates but keep your windows open from late November to early December. That's when it's going to be. It'll be either North or South California (just depends on which track they rent etc..) and they have all the GPS equipment so we won't be hacking with G-Tech's...
What I need from you guys now is your Email, contact info etc.. just all the details so I can send it on to Dan at European Car Magazine and then he can give you updates from here on in straight from the horses mouth. So go ahead and email me that info if you would to sharky@mangogrits.com (my PM box is always full lol). He does need it pronto folks so the sooner the better...
PS Now I can go get a roll of duct tape and finish the car And I hope nobody is getting cold feet

OK I have some of your folks Emails in now but still waiting on a few. Going to have a busy day contacting some of you tomorrow but just to re-iterate, those of you that want to be in this shoot out, I do need your Emails, contact info and tuner info by tomorrow if possible. I'm sure I might be able to add one or two in at a later date...

I spoke to Asgar and he can't arrange for a RUF car to be present due to lack of time what with the development of other cars etc... Shame. If anyone out there with a RUF packadge wants to submit there car please let us know, otherwise we'll go Ruf-less which would be a shame
