Thanks Steve! How did your PP GT2 front bumper fit? I really want to do this... wondering how much it will cost painted and put on (i know what PP charges... just curious about labor/paint)

Hey Steve,
I purchased my 996TT nearly 4 years ago and the previous owner had it installed along with a clear-bra when the front bumper cover was fit. I think the fit and finish is excellent, but of course have nothing to compare it to.
I've parked next to real GT2s at local meets and compared them, and the biggest visual difference is that the openings aren't as 'complex' as the real GT2, meaning there are just mesh screens on them (which I painted black to minimize contrast, they were silver). The real GT2 has the real ducting behind it of course.
The bonus with the PP front bumper cover is that there are no license plate holes, so mine is smooth whereas all the original GT2s I've seen have the holes that require bumper plugs to cover up!
I'd recommend the product and it's been great to own, but unfortunately I cannot speak to the installation process or how difficult it may have been for the body shop to install.

Congrats on a great car, and welcome!
I would reconsider the 19" wheels on a 996. Bigger is not better. Personally I think the 19's look just slightly too big on a 996. The car will ride a little rougher with the thinner tires. The 18's are the perfect size for that car, better for performance, and ride, look the perfect size, and get more tire under you. That's what they're tracking. Just opinion. Your car; enjoy!

I appreciate the kind words...and I'm sure yours will look tremendous with the GT2 front end as it's a really nice upgrade. People talk about the lack of proper front downforce if you don't do it the factory way, but I've never felt unsafe under any conditions with my own car so think unless you're a hardcore road racing guy that it's not a concern. Best wishes!
