997 TT in Malibu Part 2
I saw them as well on Tuesday. I caught them stopped at the end of Mulholland right by PCH. There was 7 of them. They were all speaking German, but I was able to talk to one who knew English quite well.
At first he denied it was the 997 TT, then I told him I saw it already in Autoweek. He seemed surprised that it was already published in a US magazine (not sure why). He then told me they were all different versions. The last car (closest in the pics) is the US version, while the one in front was an EU car. The US car had ceramic brakes. The insides were all filled with computers for telemetry gathering. He did fire it up for me, it was suprinsingly quiet IMHO.
BTW, I posted 3 pics in the gallery titled 911 TT Malibu (1-3) 800x600. I have the 4megapixel originals if anyone wants them, let me know. They did ask me not to take photos, so I was not able to get front shots, but autoweek has a slew of them up right now on their home page.

Yep, the pics aren't working with the way that he linked them, but you can view them here:

Porsche testing in Malibu. . .how did the engineers convince the bean counters to foot that bill?
They should be testing in scorching hot Bumfukker Nevada or Stickywet Louisiana and sleeping the nights in Motel 6 if accounting has anything to do with the decision making.
