Trying to collect parts for GT2 slave conversion, PITA

GT2 Master…996 243 171 06 $65
GT2 Assist spring (you definitely want this, trust me)…996 423 081 18 $55
Brake fluid cap…996 355 119 01 $5
GT2 Hose…996 423 377 90 $105
GT2 Clutch fork…997 116 086 90 $180
GT2/Tip PS reservoir (optional, you can just plug the lid)…997 314 920 50 $480
GT2 PS pump (optional, just remove the coupler from the turbo pump)…996 314 050 01 $400
Ok, so these are the prices I paid, give and take a few bucks. So that's a total of $1020 but the GT2 PS reservoir at $480 is a large part of that. At retail prices you'd be closer to $1350-$1400. I did not buy the GT2 PS pump as it's pretty easy to disassemble the TT pump and remove the coupler (do NOT skip this step!). Add about $800-$1000 for labor to drop, drill and tap the gearbox, remove all the unused hydraulic lines, and you're at about $2k+ or so to have the conversion done just like on the GT2. In the end it came out a bit cheaper because I recouped about $550 by selling my Turbo PS reservoir for $300 and also the Turbo slave/accumulator that was removed for $250. I sold both here on 6speed. Best time to do this is if you're having the clutch done or if your engine is coming out for any reason, to have the pipes welded for example. Hope that helps...

Those numbers check out except for the master Cyl, I have a different number 996-423-171-06-M33 on Pelican. I guess it is the same one that the boxter and C2/C4 use?

Yes, 996 423 171 06 is the right number. I just fat fingered it in my post

You need the GT2 clutch fork if you want to do the install without the bracket just like its done on the GT2 where the slave is mounted on the left side of the transmission. The GT2 fork is a mirror image of the TT fork.

I'm going to try a large business near me that deals with all sorts of industrial hydraulic equipment. I've had them make me hoses for tractors that I have and I think they can do about anything. I'll just bring the parts with me and I'm sure they will have something that will work. It's just a hose after all.

They refused to sell me just the hose when I asked. I ended up buying the GT2 hose and bringing it to a local hydraulic shop to extend it.
