Texas Mile: Spring 2013 updates and info
#122
Hey John,
that is spectacular !!!! Could you share with us any of the following?
Does motor still have S/C on it ?
No.
Bodywork pretty much stock ?
Correct.
0-300 kph in seconds
0-200 mph in seconds
standing mile in seconds
Did not have a VBox in the car, thus we do not have any ET data. Irrelevant in my opinion as the event is measured by mph @ 1 mile.
This one will be very tough to beat.
Agreed.
Congrats to a great, safe effort !

The texas mile has grown beyond simply the fastest car a the event.
I really like the categories and hope that someone can open a chat room (on some site) from the track and do a play by play at the next event.
I guarantee the room would be full of racers discussing and waiting for the updates.

Mike should be in here - correct ?
225.9 - BlackHorseTurbo / 996TT
224.8 - EVOMS / 997TT
224.8 - MCGT3 / 996TT
221.2 - art4iza / 996TT

215.6 - KPG / 996TT
210.9 - MegioN / 997TT TIP
206.3 - VividRacing / 997TT
206.2 - AtomicZ / GT2 / (stock block)
203.9 - Tacker / 993TT / 3.8l Proto
203.6 - gtovan / 997 GT2
200.9 - bmoores / 996TT / (stock block)
200.9 - MBailey / 996TT / (stock block)
197.3 - AMS / 996TT
197.1 - BlackHorseTurbo / 996TT / TIP / K16/16
195.8 - Romans 1:16 / 996TT
195.4 - vividracing / 997TT
195.0 - ttboost / 996TT
193.7 - Tito / '88 Carrera Turbo
191.9 - Tim941NYC / 996TT
191.6 - AMS / 996TT (K16's)
190.7 - woodtster / 996TT
185.8 - Eclou / 997TT
183.3 - EVOMS / 997.2 TT (with tune)
I was there when Eddie Bello ran his top speed and in one of the runs his sunroof ripped off.
I was there when Joe from New York ran his incredible run and one of the runs took him through the tumbleweeds with chute open !
My very good friend (Atomic Z) ran 206.xx in his GT2 (I car that I have driven many times) and he said that this was one scary ride above 200 in a GT2. (The 996TT factory bodywork, seems more stable oddly enough-I only went 190 but all of my runs were drama free and very stable).
cheers to some incredible Porsche cars and people!
