Pic of H&R springs on my car.
Thought I would share just got my car back after getting my hollow turbo twist powder-coated 20% satin black with new Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 front & rear. Then got H&R springs installed with a street alignment. I left my car at the shop for the weekend so the springs had a few days to settle a bit before my mechanic was able to get Alignment done, specs as follows:
Front camber Left -.2 Right -.2, Toe Left 0 Right 0
Rear camber Left -1.8 Right -1.7, Toe Left 0 Right 0
I have only put 40 miles on my car and I am happy how it drives so far. After reading some negative feedback on some threads about handling after installing springs I did have some concerns. The ride is smoother then when I had 19in wheels and Nitto Invo's tires. My decision to go back to stock 18in wheels imo made big difference in the ride. I am going to wait about 500 miles to really break in the tires & springs before I can say how it really handles at speed.

I don't know about alignment so can't tell from those numbers... Were they able to get your alignment back into range where you car won't eat rear tires? Thx.. Looks good. (I am about to do the same thing)

Thanks guys! So far zero bouncing it rides very much like oem suspension keep in mind I had aftermarket 19in wheels before and just went back to my stock 18in wheels. My mechanic said he got the alignment so the rears should wear good as possible with being on springs, fingers crossed. I just wish I did this 4 years ago love the way it sits now.

H&R on any car always has the perfect look and your car is no exception!
Your side ducting splitter, which one is that?
I am in the process of suspension mods and I purchased a set of PSS9's. From all my reading so I can lower it properly (not eat tires) and take advantage of the handling of the coilovers I need dog bones, toe links, GT3 front control arms. With labor and alignment I am looking at an extra $2800 on top of my coil overs. This is why I am looking and asking if I can get away with 1.5" lowering without eating my tires.
H&R lower to about that level (slightly more) and am really interested in how your car drives, but more importantly if the stock suspension has enough adjustment in it to make sure it does not eat tires?
From my research it does not and hence why I have to spend $$ on all the extra parts.
Thanks

Its from Precision Porsche http://precisionporsche.com/air-inta...-4-116-pd.html.
I can't really comment on how coil-overs react to being lowered more the an 1.5 I am sure someone can chime in who could better point you in the right direction. The H&R only drop your car all around 1in maybe tad more after settling 1000 miles or so.
Like I mentioned I have only put about 40 miles since my H&R were installed and the tires are still brand new so I can't comment on the handling on the curves yet, I need to put about 500 miles to break in the Hankooks before I push it. I am happy with the ride it's not bouncy at all it feels more planted then before I just wish did it sooner. I got everything for under $750 with springs, alignment and install so I thought it was great deal since I will never track my car so I ruled out getting coil-overs and cost to install. good luck

It's a nice drop and your 996TT looks very clean!
So, you installed the springs only and had it aligned, or were there other modifications also installed? I purchased a set of H&R lowering springs a while ago but then decided I would wait to have them installed until I got some adjustable rear control arms to ensure that I wouldn't chew through my rear tires. I want to ensure that my alignment is tire friendly (for longevity).
This was based on feedback I'd read on this forum, and I'm a pretty conservative guy when it comes to those matters. Could you please update us on how your setup is doing over time? Best wishes!
