Pss9 or JIC?

Hey guys, my dad just receive his 996 turbo today. He is thinking of putting in a set of coil overs in his car. I know this is probably the best place to ask. Which one of the 2 would u choose and why?

I heard a lot of good things about PSS9 but what about JIC?

Also I want to ask where can we get the strosek lip and spoiler and how much does it cost?

Just put on the Recaro seats and roll bar today, pics will follow.

Any recommendation will be much appreciated.

They are both good. Be careful with the ride height though.

I hear JICs are rougher riding than PSS-9 due to the monoball setup

Ditto, for a street car the PSS9's are a no brainer. Easy to set up,
and are a decent street/track shock/spring combo. 9 way adjustable, to suit your needs.

I've got JIC's on my Boxster and the ride is not harsh whatsoever. The installation is easier than the PSS9's as you don't have to fiddle with the spring compression to set the ride height. Which brings me to the next point; the ride height is adjustable on the car without changing springs or spring compression.

From the website:

"Our flagship coilover setup. Features a light weight, 15 way adjustable monotube damper that ensures high strength and fade free performance. The ride height is adjustable separate from the spring perch giving you maximum suspension travel at any setting. This also allows for proper corner weighting of the vehicle without effecting spring preload settings. "

I am waiting of my JIC (7kg/10kg) suspension to be returned from the manufacturer. They were upgrading some pieces as it was improved upon since I bought it.

So far, their customer service has picked up 10-fold in comparison to what it used to be. I didn't get the PSS9s because of the bump-top issue.

Get the cargraphic coil-overs they are some of the best on the market. I bought PSS9s right before I went down to miami where i rode in Hershels Turbo with cargraphic coilovers and it is one of the best handleing turbos I have ever been in. I would definatly look into Cargraphic, don't make the same mistake I did im about to buy cargraphics and try and sell my PSS9s too.

If you are going track, then JICs over PSS9 by far.

The By Design car used them (the JICs) in the European Shootout and scored 2nd fastest...and that was in a cabriolet. Not bad if you ask me.

Remember, they come in 3 rates:

7kg/10kg or 392lbs/560lbs (this is what mine are being reset to at JIC)
8kg/12kg or 448lbs/672lbs
10kg/14kg or 560lbs/784lbs

Here are some pics for you - compliments of Stephen:
