Modded 996Turbo/GT2 vs. modded Toyota Supra

Supras are a great platform for 1/4 races. my friend marco has an 8 second one...
Im building a EVO8 and decided not to go with the gt42r turbo- too much lag and it becomes not street drivable. I raced 1/4 against a fully built evo8 and I obviously lost... he ran 10.53.. i ran 11.5 sec. We drove home together and on the highway he had problems with me...
Its really hard to come to a conclusion when one starts to compare like that.

"Empty weight (depending on equipment)... 3394.9 lbs." As you know, Porsche publishes "dry" weights. My guess is your owner's manual quotes the same weight (3395 lbs) as mine does.
My car weighs 3480 lbs with a full tank of gas and no occupants.

Perhaps they jumped up in '03, Dock? Yours weighs the same amount as mine. Where is everyone getting the 3505lb figure?

Why have they continued to gain weight every year since 01?

With my single Supra only pushing an SP57 and ~490rwhp, I never lost whatever I raced. After riding in RacerX's EVO 700 01 996TT ---- different story. I would have had my *** handed to me. 0-whatever. That **** is fast and I may buy it next year now that the Supra is sold. (it will be available)

These threads are so ridiculous.
If you want to find out, go get those exact two cars and race them. Bench racing is downright stupid.
I hated when people asked me with my old Supra, "Could your car beat xxx car?" I don't even know how to interpret the word "beat"

In a straight line you have to give properly built Supra's their dues. In the twisties it's a whole new ball game.
Now, when we meet again, we should have a few more ponies then they have, but it won't be overwhelming.

My 3480 lbs was measured on four pad racing scales.
