Did it start before or after the turbo upgrades? If after, was it immediately?

I did the water pipe pinning, exhaust, hoses, turbos, tune, injectors, bypass all at the same time, the car was off the road for a couple of months it did not smoke like this before all of the changes.
However the smoking has got significantly worse/frequent over the last couple of months since I have been driving it, something is deteriorating for sure.

I did notice when pressure testing the new turbo compressors side that it cant hold pressure, it leaks immediately into the CHRA's both do the same. Compared to the K16s which hold pressure for a fair while. I am not sure if this will in operation pressurize the crank causing this smoke, but if so why doesnt it smoke when running?

Next step i would remove the exhaust and inspect the turbine wheel to check if it is oily or has oil residue.

When you fitted the Alpha28s did you remove the internals from the OEM check valve and install in the check valves supplied by Tial?

I did, actually purchased a brand new pair from Porsche and removed the check valved and filters and put them into the Tial supplied aluminum cases, installed correctly and checked they operate. In fact have pulled the turbos since and double checked, they are closed but with a good blow will open.

How many miles on the car? It seems you have tried 4-5 different oil types/mfg.?

Joe I believe valve seals would show up on trailing throttle, this has no issues there

I don't think our engines have any type of evacuation /vacuum system for crank case venting.
I guess pulling the exhaust headers would answer a few questions and so would pulling the plugs out after shutting off engine when it just starts to smoke.

mine used to smoke exactly as you described, initially I had M1 dealer changed oil and it was pretty bad. I changed to shell rotella T6 and it cleaned up mostly, but would still puff on a hot start, especially on a bit of a hill.

I had a small oil leak somewhere on top of the engine which turned out to be the manifold on the top of the case for the vent/breathing to the oil tank. Once I fixed this issue it completely stopped smoking. Only time I can get a small puff is if I start it cold to move it a short distance then when I restart it sometimes it gives up a tiny bit of smoke.

I think these engines being dry sumped are sensitive to any crankcase leak causing excess oil vapour to the intake.
