Buddy - good post.
I personally don't mind the (relatively) high production #s of the 996 (turbo) ... yes it hurts resale and the bling factor but more people get to enjoy the Porsche experience because of it.
anyway, surprising on this board that people are worried about resale values considering mods usually get nothing on resale (if not actually hurt the sale price)
if you want to flip cars every year or so a new 996 turbo seems to be a poor choice if depreciation is of prime concern.
