Not Holding Charge :/

I went on a decently long ride yesterday for the first time in a few weeks and nothing seemed wrong at all. I went to the park and shut the car off, and when I came back the car wouldn't start. It was barely turning, but I jumped it and luckily got home.

On the way home, I noticed the charge went from about 12 to just barely over 10 by the time I got back to my house. I hooked the car up to a charger over night and it started this morning fine.

I suspect it is the alternator. I just changed the battery a few months ago so it can't be that. Any suggestions or opinions? Thanks!

Have the battery checked first, just in case a cell went bad. It is less costly and less time consuming than an alternator. Of course, our cars are know to need alternators along the way.
