Is this normal tire wear for 996TT?

My tires had a similar wear pattern..
I put on new tires and then I brought my car to the Porsche dealer for an alignment..
I was on the other end of the specs,so they realigned to the other end within the specs..
No problems with tire wear like that anymore..

I don't think I need these yet -- but I assume I'll need these if (when) I upgrade the suspension and lower the car.
The MPS2s are inside/outside rather than directional. Also, I'm sure you'd have to flip them well before showing cord (unless you can find a shop that would remount tires showing cord ).

Nope. These are the tires that I got shortly after I bought the car. I have a nearly new set of MPS2s on my GT3-style wheels that I got from the PCA Group Buy last year.

Thanks for the tip on the fix. I had thought that I wouldn't hit the limits of adjustment unless the car is lowered.

The same thing happened on my Supra when I went single turbo (going from the stock 325lb.ft. of torque to 600lb.ft. of torque).
The cure was to add a little more toe in. In theory, the rear was squating so much more, it was causing excessive toe out under acceleration.
Since the suspension layout and geometry are different on the 911 versus the Supra, I don't know if this will change anything. Typically wear on the extreme edge of a tire is toe related.
Just my 2 cents,
Steve
