Would an intercooler that size not increase spool time?

Why don't you ask " wouldn't a turbo of that size increase spool time"
Those are gt35rs with .82 exhaust size. Car runs mid 4s 60 to 130, ran 9s, and trapped 119.97 mph in the 1/8th. I believe that's a record on a 996.
As a matter of fact, out 4.5" ics come on faster on stock k16s when compared to stock. I logged it back to back.

I want a car that is great in all aspects. I love hitting this local road that will have 8 hair pin turns followed by straights. I need the car to be as close to NA as possible in how responsive and predictable the throttle is. So if the above is correct then a huge intercooler would be improperly sized for my application. It still might be faster in some driving scenarios. I realize that I am going to be leaving something on the table in either responsiveness or top end horsepower and I'm okay with that. I'm looking for the right balance to meet my needs.
Just wait until you see my threads when I decide its time to start shopping turbos, Markski. You'll have to pull your hair out at those. Even better for you because I am most interested in the turbos you offer for sale.

I used 911tuning 4.5" ICs , one of the best mods i did on my car , i logged the car running from 100km/h to 280km !!
The IATs jumped only 10 degrees only !! I did not use the meth in this run !!!!
Sir , the 997.2 intercoolers are nice but it will leaks after many hard runs , tested and tried it !!!
If u r going to keep your boost like 1.2 - 1.4bar on Billet K16 ! You will be fine !!
Good luck searching
