Question Dallas, Texas members

How many of you on this list are from Dallas? And whom do you suggest for service? My car is a 2001 TT still under warranty for a while. In the past I always used Park Place, but I had a suggestion from someone to try a place called DT Motorwerks for non-warranty work.

Another question? How many of you track your cars? I have no plans to do so, but I am curious.

I'm in Dallas--I don't know anything one way or the other about DT Motorwerks. Since my car's in warranty, I use Boardwalk Porsche and do brake maintenance myself.

You may want to post your question over on MRPCA (Maverick Region PCA) newsgroup over on yahoo. Someone there may have used them.

As for tracking, I do that a bunch. Between Maverick Chapter (Dallas), Hill Country (Austin) and Lonestar (Houston) PCA DE's, I drive about 15-20 DE's per year, mostly at Texas World Speedway in College Station and Motorsport Ranch, a private motorsport 'country club' in Cresson, TX, and one per year at Texas Motorspeedway which Maverick hosts Memorial Day weekend along with the PCA club race.

The easiest way to get links to the PCA chapters is to look them up on PCA's main web page, http://www.pca.org.

Mav's is at http://www.pca.org/mav

The DE season is winding up this year--Lonestar has one next weekend, and one in December. There's a Motorsport Club at Texas World Speedway which is also doing DE's Thanksgiving Weekend, and one in December as well. You can find information on that one at Texas World Speedway's site.
