Cool.
I havent decided yet, what settings my lsd should have. Like the 996GT2/3 40%/65% or like the 997GT2/3 25%/40% 15 Nm preload.

Limitations in everyday use with the 6GT2 LSD?

you want a minimum of 6GT2 settings, 997 is too low. Full track is typically a 50/80 lock-up, although some prefer the looser 40/60 for rotation..
Zero issues DD'ing a 40/60, don't go crazy on preload

I found it very hard to drift. I had not much grip on the front axle cause of the cold weather and lots of grip on the rear axle...so understeer all the time...

Sounds like not enough throttle. Was PSM on as well? What's your suspension and tire setup? I wonder if my big 255's up front make it easier for me to swing.

PSM was off of cource. -2 degree camber front and rear with pss10 10/10.
Tires were michelin ps2 in stock size.
Well i didnt want to raise rpm so much in first gear. The car started to spin over 6000RPM. I didnt want to give the rack any more turns....

ghost, timing is off 180*, soon as you have front end grip you want the rear breaking free, set the front end and let the rear end out and be on power, all about weight shift in 911's, use it right and bliss...,,, LSD or open diff in vids? looks open....
as always, I'll say it, drive 911's like a kart...

You're not doing it right. Shift into second if you don't wanna raise the RPM too much and then just keep it going, it will rotate.

yea, not enough gas, while my donuts weren't in a perfect circle, you'll notice i don't let off, when it would start to grip i'd just give it more.........throttle control...then steering control

I've done a quick donut before but sustaining a drift in conditions like that, you need a real LSD.

Bringing up an old thread.....

I'm so used to doing donuts in my Miata. And now that it has been sold I haven't done donuts in about a year. I have not tried it in the 997 Turbo. I thought that there was just too much "stick".

Its time to give it a shot.
