Where to purchase ignition coils
#31
Like I said, YMMV. Just saying that once you spend money on something it's much more likely you will "feel" an improvement to justify your purchase. Just human nature. If someone can feel a 5 or 10 hp improvement on a 550hp car then they are much more in tune with your car than I will ever be. That's why I datalog everything in a repeatable closed environment in order to see if there is a quantifiable benefit or not. I'm just not good enough to tell by feel....
i don't blame ya for doing it! it's much like taking camera vids of myself going in circles on a track. i'd do it if i was setup for it! but it isn't important to me.
case in point. i just put a plenum in the car that advertises i will see noticeable gains and esp more tq down low thru mid range revs and even a bit quicker spool, and as it turns out.. i do. so that is either the placebo effect, or there are some subtle yet clearly percebtible gains i feel that are in fact genuine, if not *minor* in relative terms? for the purposes of clarity? "minor" doesn't mean "missing" or "non-existent"
so then does that make me the sensitive ***hole i know i can be?? or am i indeed, just imagining my "perceived" gains because i read up on it, listened to a few genuine and highly respectable experts, and opted to try it. toss up i guess, but i'm glad i did.
but by your logic, i'm only happy because i need to be, to justify my having added the plenum. gee.. i dunno man. i think that's a stretch.
