Why would it melt? Tips are not touching plastic and I'm pretty sure they are not touching the mesh either.

Very nice!

Just waiting for the haters to ask about the back pressure of that system.

Looking at the close proximity of the exhaust outlets to the bumper and knowing how hot the outlets can run, I'd put my money on the bumper melting or severe burns/discoloration.

The car has seen about 100 miles without issues.
The round plastic caps are actually Porsche GT oem parts. If it does not melt on a Gt I doubt it will melt on this car.
This is what the client came with I had no control over it.

Just me but id wrap the cans in titanium header wrap. I like the look and it would keep the under bumper heat down.

The problem lies in the fact that the surround is mounted to the body and the exhaust is mounted to the engine which is on a engine plate that flexes and motor mounts that flex too.

As for fit and finish, 10 out of 10. The problem with owning a shop is you need to keep the doors open, so you take on jobs. then the client wants something that he wants even tho you know it will not work and express that, he tells you build what I want I am paying you! In the end tho you get a bad wrap for giving them what they want knowing it was doomed from the start.

No hate there.

I agree and that was my concern too. He has aftermarket engine mounts which prevents the motor from flexing.
Depending on what will happen down the road we can always make adjustments. The bumper came like that with the mesh and the round covers. I personally like the look.
I recall the red car Eddie worked on where he had the bumper cut out which was cool in my opinion.

they may touch with vibration and exhaust gas temperatures are higher on a turbo car then a N/A car. either way even if they do melt its not Marks fault. he tailored the pipes to the cust request and thats that.

cant say i remember you posting anything techincal or useful. i'd be impressed if you could measure backpressure in an exhaust rather then try and make fun of people that actually do and share with others.

Add this bumper to my tab and ship to Houston, your 911Tuning Texas location.

Props for doing something different. There's normally a bumper beam going through there, right? Not sure how structural that piece is, but at the least it is probably less safe in case of getting rear ended.

People have been removing the rear bumper beam for years for weight savings. Nothing to worry about until you get hit!

That's correct. We had to take it off in order I fit it.
The owner was ok with it.

Looks good! The only thing I would change is replace the mesh with some solid piece of plastic so you no longer see the exhaust cans.
