This car is 90-95% the straight line acceleration of my evo700 tt maybe 70% the handling and being that i NEVER tracked my car nor intended to, the car handles amazing for me!!! but i gotta tell u in the summertime here in michigan that hard top that folds back into the trunk is SUCH a pleasure and the ride of the car is like BUTTER!! Great car, happy customer....all together different car from my porsche and not taking away anything from my tt other than a change is NICE. 2 kills my buddies 01stock tt ran away from it and today was a 997 911 S that got his world rocked.....im sure i will be back into the porsche ownership down the road maybe with a 997 or next 998 turbo but until then i havent missed my 996tt. and still got a turbo porsche albeit the cayenne.....
Congratulations on acquiring a truly awesome and extremely rare automobile. Like you said, you can see 20 TT's for every 1 SL65. During baseball preseason last year we had the pleasure of doing an engine chip on a players SL65 that added 100+ HP and 200+ ft./lbs. of torque. As you can imagine, that car was unbelieveable. I have an SL55 that I thought would be tough to top, but leave it to MB to not only top it, but absolutely dwarf its performance. Anyhow, enjoy that car!

That's good that you chipped that Sl65. They really need the extra horses to be fun.
