i gotta tell u guys that this car is just freakn awesome!!!....havent had an issue with it at all....no problems...no mass air flow sensor, no boost leaks, no check engine lights, etc...and in town here a day doesnt go by that i dont see a turbo...i have YET to pass/see another sl65 in town. This car is 90-95% the straight line acceleration of my evo700 tt maybe 70% the handling and being that i NEVER tracked my car nor intended to, the car handles amazing for me!!! but i gotta tell u in the summertime here in michigan that hard top that folds back into the trunk is SUCH a pleasure and the ride of the car is like BUTTER!! Great car, happy customer....all together different car from my porsche and not taking away anything from my tt other than a change is NICE. 2 kills my buddies 01stock tt ran away from it and today was a 997 911 S that got his world rocked.....im sure i will be back into the porsche ownership down the road maybe with a 997 or next 998 turbo but until then i havent missed my 996tt. and still got a turbo porsche albeit the cayenne.....

Definetly, I would go for the RENNTech ECU/Tranny upgrade, I know a few people with it and it is great, the car is a pure monster with it running the 1/4 at 11.4!

It tis' shut a shame that beast can't play on the autobahn. I have yet to see one even in Germany and they build them right down the road from me. Uber nice car mate!

 

Congrats that car is a beast. I never thought I would see a factory car with 700 plus ft lb of torque! When I get the RED BEAST back we should do a run for fun!
