Side Window Streaking

I have had my car for three years now and every time the side windows are actuated a streak of some type of grease or lubricant appears and effs up the appearance. It is semi-clear, white lithium maybe.

My queston is two part - What is the crap that keeps appearing and does anyone have a tip on how to eliminate this pain in the butt of a problem??

With Thanks.

Join the club... Design flaw according to Porsche. They can claim to fix it but it may cause other problems like leaking into the window seam. I just didn't bother with having to deal with a possible bigger problem.

If it is towards the rear of the window and sometimes you see a round spot about 3/4" in diameter then the felt pads in the door are dirty. This is a warranty item and the dealer can replace them.

And all this time I thought only I had it. I get it at the front of the window and it's about 3 inches in width.

So other than a replacement of some felt pads which may (or may not) solve the problem there is no fix???

I am amused by the fact that owners thought the problem was singular to their car only. It's amazing how much we all have in common including streaks of ****.

P.S. No buddyg jokes okay??

One or 2 vertical streak marks up the window?.....this is old.
I saw the thread a year or 2 ago (maybe RennTeam)......there might be a TSB but it's widely acknowedged (window regulator pads getting grease on them....there are 2 pads per window, say 6" from front & 6" from back, pads are inch or less in dia).....dlr will replace pads under warranty.......that fixes.
