The egas one, believe it or not, the cheaper one. Just to be sure you can pull the old one and check the Bosch part number on it.

I had to buy the non-egas one for another car. The part that I got even had both the Bosch and the Porsche part number on it just like the one that I replaced.
Odd. I thought that the cheaper one was for the Boxster and the more expensive one was for the 911 turbo; even though the one on the Boxster is sometimes used as an alternative when you have Stage IV or above modifications to your turbo.

I notice that the second one has "996" and "986" in both of the numbers. I'll just have to check mine to make sure when I take it out. Thanks for the info.

The 986 is the cheaper one. Almost by 100 bones.

But you suggested not to use the 986 one unless you are really pushing some serious horsepower with larger/hybrid turbos, correct?
