Getting ready to sell...what to do about warped dash?
Sadly after 2 years of 996TT ownership, the excitement just isn't there for me anymore, so it's time to move on. Like many cars left in the sun by careless previous owners, mine has a warped leather dash panel (leather is pulled up around the defrost area), which was there when I bought it. I have heard that this can be quite costly to fix ($3k+), and am wondering if it's worth doing before listing the car for sale.
Does anybody have experience with this? How much should a dash panel play into the sale price?
Thanks in advance!

I'm still on the fence, but it's either gonna be a highly modded Exige or a Noble M400. I want something that will terrify me every time I drive it, and also something that's unique in Southern California. The 911 is just too docile, and is about as common as a taxi around these parts.

If you wanted something to terrify you every time you drive it, you should have just added a couple hundred more HP/TQ to you Turbo and driven it on some twisting mountain CO roads. My Turbo used to be fun but lacking a bit of an edge until I did the same thing, but now I drive more slowly than ever because I rip my tires free constantly and approach corners WAY faster than stock.
Of course if I was only chasing excitement, I could keep the car stock and just toe out the rear tires a ton!
