Successfully bypass the amp on MOST?

So I have searched and searched and searched, on several websites.

First, I hav an 03 996tt with the cdr23 and MOST, but NOT Bose. I am somewhat satisfied with the sound it makes now. (better said, satisfied enough to spend money on go fast parts and not stereo)

All I want to do is replace the head unit with something like the app radio And I'd like to run my speakers off the power from the head unit.

I know there are tons of people that will tell me not to, but even if I decide to add an amp and speakers later...I can.

So who has successfully done what I am speaking about?
